Rather Roundtable was a group show initiated in New Brunswick, New Jersey in February/March of 2008, by seven artists interested in a converging participatory aesthetic. The group of artists met in grad school at Rutgers. The artists included are: Russ Anderson, Heather Hart, Joelle Howald, Morgan Page, Tom Russotti, Nathan Shafer and Shane Whilden. Accompanying the show was a set of ‘roundtable’ discussions about new media, interactive culture, participatory aesthetics and the artwork as an open social project.
